St. Ouro began at a black-tie wedding, when three friends slipped away mid-dance to tend to the quiet choreography of new motherhood, tethered to a neoprene backpack that read more "gym class" than "chic guest." The question that followed was unavoidable — why does the gear of motherhood so often arrive as an apology? Founded by Jillian Anderson, Amanda Brovick, and Brigid Wygod, St. Ouro is the refusal to settle: saint and gold — mothers are the former, what they carry should feel like the latter.
